I'm on the fourth story campaign and I have never felt like my party was destroyed due to a retirement or death of old age.Ĭharacters will stay with you for at least 3 chapters of the campaign generally unless they die or age a lot due to some really bad luck with events. I see this game get a TON of flak over this and it really has not been a huge deal for me. It also has an awful retirement mechanic where by the final chapter often your best characters are retirement age so they just leave, leaving you with significantly weaker characters that you haven't just spend 5-10 hours building a story with. then the warrior could basically one shot whatever she wanted including bosses. She was rivals with the Mystic too so Mystic would aoe and multiple targets fishing for crit. so she just jumped around and flanked and nuked everything. plus I had the swift action leap ability. and with a large health pool she could get the modifier pretty high. She basically got +3 or +4 damage per hp 1 she lost. I eventually got her a decent hp pool and she got old so her dodge went down, and it was glorious. ![]() They're kind of rare anyways and you could get block or crit or dodge too. but it is very hard to find the scarfs, pauldrons, etc with +HP. I wanted to play a Blood Rage Viking Reaver type of build. I also wish it was easier to get accessory gear pieces. I feel like warriors need some more abilities, and more classes in general would be nice for example I'd love to play a Necromancer. It isn't anything too groundbreaking but it is cozy and somber when it needs to be. ![]() it feels like you're in a tavern or inn or something reading a tale. Rivals trying to out crit each other gave me a Gimli and Legolas vibe, and my mystic nuker obliterating anyone that touched her one legged warrior tank husband felt like their romance was more than a blurb of words. I love the rival/romance/companionship mechanics in combat. I found the combat somewhat fun, but it feels really bad to go from a level 5 character back to a level 2 one when your OGs retire. Like when it flows it flows really good, but then sometimes the characters act completly unnatural to what you've seen before. The procedural writing/events kind of get janky sometimes. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
